So since Holloween is getting closer and closer every day im going to be giving some movie reviews, and hope people go check em out.
So the first movie I think is a must for a horror collection would have to be Brain Dead(also known as Dead Alive in north America. Directed by peter Jackson before he became a big shot, Brain Dead is a very standard zombie flick. EX: Dawn of the Dead. The undead invaid a town and survivores must band together to make it out alive.
The reason I hold this movie above any horror movie is becouse to this day there has been no movie to surpass it's gore factor. Even though it's story is no award winner it gets the job done and keeps you entertained throughout. Im going to post a video of a scene from Brain Dead. check it out and tell me what you think of it.
Well, the all time scariest movie has to be the first Halloween movie. My girl friends and I went to see it and had to drive with the dome light on in the car, all the way home. The way I rate a scary movie is that it does the job of scaring you without making you want to puke. I've found that the first movies of a series are always the best, after the fist one they have to make you sick to get a reaction. That's not horror that's puke. and old black and whites are even better they just have the look that gives you that skin crawling feel.
ReplyDeleteGore. Is. AWESOME! One of my favorite movies has a lot of gore in it, "Repo: The Genetic Opera". It's so good, and amazing, and oh my gosh.
ReplyDeleteThough, I'm not one for scary movies. I have an active imagination, so I BELIEVE I'm hearing voices, sounds, seeing things, but they're not there... and watching scary movies makes it worse! The worse ones I've seen, are 'Ju-On' and 'Ringu' the original's of 'The Grudge' and 'The Ring' made in Japan. They are so scary! I watched them once, (though they scared me, I still wish to buy them and add them to my collection) and I STILL freak out about them. Though, I've seen the American version for 'The Ring' as well. The Japanese (to me) is scarier. Even when I tried to laugh about it.
